Sarnafil's Energy Smart Roof(tm)

Sarnafil's EnergySmart Roof® is the first and only commercial single-ply membrane to be labeled under the ENERGY STAR Roof Products Program that can demonstrate more than 25 years of a unique, historically proven roofing technology. The ENERGY STAR® Roof Products Program is a voluntary partnership between the U.S. EPA and roof product manufacturers and is focused on promoting the environmental and economic benefits of reflective roofing. The EnergySmart Roof by Sarnafil is one of the most highly reflective commercial roofing products in the world.

The Sarnafil PVC membrane formula and spread coating manufacturing method were developed in Switzerland in 1961 have remained unchanged for over 40 years. In response to the growing demand for our durable, PVC roofing and waterproofing membranes, Sarnafil built a new state-of-the-art manufacturing line. Like our existing line, the new line combined our proven and proprietary PVC formulation with an innovative coating process to produce monolithic membranes. Our new line utilizes an extrusion-coating technology that creates a membrane with desirable physical properties similar to those made famous by our spread coating line in a 10-foot wide membrane. The new sheet width improves rooftop efficiency for our applicators and makes Sarnafil roofing solutions even more competitive in the marketplace. Wind, rain, UV radiation, pollution, chemical attack, and thermal shock won't change pliability, hot-air weldability, or watertightnes

Applications

Sarnafil has a flexible approach to roofing applications. Whatever the building size and shape, whatever the environmental condition, Sarnafil has a system that's equal to the challenge: mechanically attached systems, adhered systems, ballasted system, and a protected roof membrane assembly (PMA). There's a choice in the thickness of Sarnafil membranes too, which range from 48 to 96 mil. Membranes designed for mechanically attached and adhered applications are available in EnergySmart® White and custom colors. The newest addition to the adhered system is the Décor Profile Roof Systems. Sarnafil's Décor Profiles provide the architect, designer, and building owner with a new opportunity to reproduce the appearance of a traditional metal roof on both new and reroofing projects of any shape, design and/or pitch. Standard rolls of membrane are available in 6'6" and 10' wide and standard lengths up to 100' long. Whether it's a manufacturing facility or corporate offices, a high-rise or a school, a hospital, an arena, a museum, a warehouse, a shopping center, or a parking garage - if a building is worth protecting at all, its worth protecting well. That's why Sarnafil is the first choice around the world in moisture protection.

Example Application

The RC Willey Intermountain Distribution Center is protected by an industrial single-ply roofing material manufactured by Sarnafil Inc. In contrast to buildings with dark colored roofs, the large RC Willey facility was almost undetectable to NASA's heat-sensing instrumentation due to the characteristics of it's light-colored roofing system.
