One print out, photo copy or other hardcopy may be made for personal non-profit use at no charge.
Non-Profit Organizations such as Churches, Clubs, and Schools may make multiple copies for non commercial use as follows.
- $.10 per copy
- Simply mail a check for the proper amount. Note the title of the column or article and the number of copies.
- For large numbers of copies see the syndication plan.
Syndication is available for other publishers to use in limited life publications, i.e. daily, weekly, monthly publications subject to the following restrictions:
- The appropriate syndication fee(US Dollars) calculated below is paid in advance.
- All circulation including courtesy or other "free" copies are counted in calculating the syndication fee.
- Only one column is permitted per issue.
- The column must constitute less than 10%(1/10) of the publications content.
- The author's name and "Copyright 2001 VideComp, Inc." must accompany the article.
- The context of the syndication must not imply that VideComp or the author endorse the publication or any products associated with the publication.
- The column may not be edited except for formatting purposes without permission.
The publisher can choose from the existing library or use the weekly columns as they are made available.
Newspapers/Newsletters and other periodicals(print media)
$5.00 per column for circulations up to 5,000
$1.00 per column per thousand, circulation over 5,000
$30 minimum fee (6 columns at the lowest circulation)
Electronic Media - diskettes, electronic magazines, web sites, other
One copy may be downloaded from VideComp's or other licensed Web site or bulletin board for personal non-commercial use for no charge. Copies may not be transmitted to any other party.
$5.00 per column or $.02 per copy, whichever is greater for transportable media
$5.00 per column per week for a license to make the column available for viewing or download on a web site or bulletin board. The column may not be changed more often than once per week.
Simple links to the index page of this site are permitted. No links or other technologies may be used with this material that would circumvent syndication.
Other Requirements
Two copies of each issue of the publication in which the column appears must be mailed/shipped to VideComp, Inc.(transportable media only)
VideComp, Inc. reserves the right to withdraw permission to publish from any context it deems inappropriate or not in the best interests of VideComp or its clients.
Initial permission is granted as soon as notification is made by email or other transmittal of the intent to syndicate and the proper payment in US currency has been transmitted.When sending notification of intent to syndicate:
Send:
- The name or number of the column(s) to be published
- The media used
- Expected circulation
- The name and issue of the publication
- Expected publication date
- Publisher's name
- Contact person
- Address
- Phone number
- FAX and Email address if available
If sending payment separately, also enclose a copy of this information.
